About this event
Mata Ashita is an intergenerational writing circle for Japanese Canadians and a space for cultural connection during the COVID-19 pandemic. Mata Ashita means see you tomorrow, and for us, that means a promise to take care of ourselves and each other in difficult times. On July 31, we are excited to launch a digital zine featuring Japanese Canadian writers from our first 6 community circles. Download your free copy and join hosts Leanne Toshiko Simpson, Sen Canute, and Nicola Koyanagi for a virtual afternoon of reading, writing, and celebration at the Powell Street Festival.
